She recently performed her Japanese solo debut at the Apple Store in Tokyo, combining her own arrangements of classical music infused with hiphop and pop elements, live light painting, collaborations with a Taiko drummer, beatboxer, DJ, and dancers as the Japan Times wrote, “Fluterscooter brings a new shine to the flute.”
She has recorded and produced for hiphop artists 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa, and she was featured on John Legend’s sophomore album, Once Again, as well as his live DVD, Live From Philadelphia. She has performed live with Legend as well as Herbie Hancock/Marcus Miller and Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull.
A native of Bethlehem, PA, she moved to NYC to attend the prestigious Juilliard School of Music, where she studied with Carol Wincenc. Fluterscooter also plays piano, keyboards, Indian/Japanese flutes, and produces, arranges, and writes original music. She often plays with DJs and has done so in the hottest nightclubs in New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo.
Performances include Good Morning America, Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall, Staples Center, and throughout USA, Europe, Middle East, and Asia. She also had the honor of performing the National Anthem at both NY Knicks and LA Lakers games.
Fluterscooter also has her own line of stylish Fluterscooter flute bags as well as a self-released holiday (Holiday Treasures) and classical album (in.flute.en.tial) recorded. All can be purchased on www.fluterscooter.com
